The Vocational Instructor C works with individuals providing job coaching and employment supports to individuals working at integrated work sites in the community. Instructors are engaged in active job development of integrated work sites and participate actively in the Individual Support Plan (ISP)/Life Plan process. This position requires the ability to work collaboratively with team members, service providers, family members, and employers to provide direction to individuals withintellectual and developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorder. Potential candidates must have the ability to compile required data, produce daily written documentation and monthly progress notes, collect work schedules and paystubs, and contribute to program reports.They must also have the ability to communicate professionally and be sensitive to the social/emotional needs of individuals being served throughout the Central/West Region, while placing an emphasis on the development of a competitive workforce. _Please Note:_ This position is based in Springfield, MA and will travel throughout the Central/West Region, as required. * Schedule: Monday through Friday on the day shift. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: At least two years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in vocational or industrial training or vocational or industrial instruction. SUBSTITIONS: - A Bachelor's or higher degree in industrial arts or vocational education may be substituted for a maximum of one year of the required experience. - One year of education equals 30 semester hours.
